(OOC) Royal Trio Roleswap AU Info
Aug. 20th, 2024 05:12 pmThis isn't going to be a particularly tidy AU info page, at least until I clean it up, but basically...
SPOILERS FOR PERSONA 5 ROYAL'S THIRD SEMESTER
1. Sumire is in Ren's place, Ren is in Akechi's place, Akechi is in Sumire's place.
2. Sumire was never actualized into thinking she was Kasumi due to scheduling shenanigans involving her appointment with Maruki.
3. Akechi was actualized right after he awakened his Personas, but BEFORE he approached Shido. He forgot about them, and doesn't remember his plot for revenge. He ended up being taken under the wing of the Shirogane estate, and became the second Detective Prince a bit more organically.
4. Sumire is the leader of the Phantom Thieves, and tries to act like Kasumi while acting in the Metaverse as a sort of atonement.
5. Shiho joined the Phantom Thieves instead of Ann, but Ann is still a Confidant of Sumire's. Her codename is either Swan or Cygnet, I haven't decided yet.
6. I'm still working on Ren. He still has the encounter with Shido, but thanks to cognitive psience research getting further along due to Shido not having a Metaverse assassin, he was able to pinpoint that Ren had an abnormality regarding Metaverse stuff, and ended up getting Ren stuck in an arrangement. Needless to say, Ren hates this, but his parents basically wholeheartedly agreed to let Shido deal with him because he shamed the family (Not that they know the full extent of what Shido has in mind, of course).
7. Sumire's father acts as her Hierophant Confidant, and is constantly worrying about Sumire's safety... but eventually he ends up being used as a hostage in order to try to turn Sumire's hand in regards to Shido. He somehow makes it out all right, but naturally learns that Sumire is a Phantom Thief.
8. Sumire gets close to Ren, but I haven't figured out all the details yet. This is very much a Shusumi AU, so there's romantic feelings involved somehow.
9. Kasumi gets brought back to life during Third Semester, which is a major part of Sumire's drama at that point.
10. There's a huge point made of how Sumire was never meant to be a Wild Card and was never meant to be the Trickster, but somehow, against all odds, she is. She makes the most of this reality, and darn it, she's not going to give up just because she wasn't "supposed" to be where she is now.
